These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the ImpromptuAI application, website and related services.
By using ImpromptuAI, you agree to these Terms. If you are not legally able to enter into this agreement yourself, a parent, guardian or other authorised person must do so on your behalf.
1. About ImpromptuAI
ImpromptuAI is an AI-assisted music composition service that generates and edits musical notation and audio from user instructions.

2. Accounts
Some features require Sign in with Apple.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity carried out through it.
You must provide accurate information where required and must not use another person's account without permission.
3. AI-generated music
ImpromptuAI uses artificial intelligence systems to generate and modify musical notation and audio.
AI-generated results may be imperfect, unpredictable or non-unique. An output may contain musical similarities to existing works, common musical conventions, public-domain material or outputs generated for other users.
You should review generated material before publishing, performing, registering or commercially exploiting it.
4. Copyright and ownership
Copyright, authorship and other rights in AI-generated and AI-assisted works vary between jurisdictions and may depend on the nature and extent of human creative contribution.
As between you and ImpromptuAI, ImpromptuAI does not claim ownership of your prompts or of an output solely because it was generated through the service.
This does not mean that copyright or another intellectual-property right necessarily exists in an output, or that any such right belongs exclusively to you.
ImpromptuAI does not guarantee that an output is copyrightable, legally original, unique, exclusive or free of third-party rights.
You are responsible for determining what rights apply to your use of generated content.
5. Your input
You are responsible for prompts and other material you provide to ImpromptuAI.
You must not knowingly use the service to reproduce, distribute or exploit copyrighted music, lyrics, recordings, arrangements, trademarks or other protected material where you do not have permission or another lawful basis to do so.
You must not use ImpromptuAI for unlawful purposes or in a way that infringes the rights of another person.
6. AI disclosure and provenance
Generated files may contain visible or machine-readable information indicating that they were created using artificial intelligence or ImpromptuAI.
You must not intentionally falsify or remove information where preserving or disclosing it is required by applicable law.
Additional disclosure, labelling or provenance requirements may apply depending on where and how an output is published or distributed.
7. Score editing and versions
ImpromptuAI allows certain saved scores to be edited using natural-language instructions.
An edit may create a new version of the score. Previous versions may remain separately available in your library.
AI editing is probabilistic. ImpromptuAI does not guarantee that every requested musical change will be interpreted or implemented exactly as intended.
8. Tokens and payments
ImpromptuAI uses tokens for paid AI operations.
The token cost of a generation or editing operation is displayed in the application and may vary according to the selected AI model.
Tokens are generally deducted for successful generation operations.
Token bundles purchased through the iOS application are processed through Apple.
Tokens are not currency, are not transferable between users and have no cash value.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled subject to Apple's applicable purchasing and refund processes and your statutory consumer rights.
Promotional or introductory tokens may be limited to one allocation per eligible user.
9. Availability
We aim to keep ImpromptuAI available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
AI providers, hosting services, music-rendering systems and other technical dependencies may occasionally be unavailable.
Features, supported models, token prices and technical systems may change as the service develops.
10. No professional advice
ImpromptuAI is a creative music tool.
Information provided through the service, including information concerning copyright or AI regulation, is not legal advice.
You should obtain appropriate professional advice where your intended use requires it.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
To the extent permitted by law, ImpromptuAI is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on generated material, loss of creative opportunity, third-party intellectual-property claims, service interruption or the user's publication or commercial use of generated content.
You remain responsible for reviewing and approving musical material before relying on it.
Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
12. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the application.
Account-linked information is deleted or anonymised in accordance with the Privacy Policy, subject to limited information that may need to be retained for fraud prevention, transaction records, legal obligations or security.
A non-reversible or pseudonymous record may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent repeated claims of one-time promotional credits.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as ImpromptuAI develops or as legal and regulatory requirements change.
Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the application or website.
The date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country where you live.
